Notably, the Adelaide Test will be a day-night game and is scheduled to take place from December 17-21. Meanwhile, India captain Virat Kohli will play this Test only as his leave has been granted by the board as he will return to the country for the birth of his first child. It is noteworthy that, Australia have a fair share of success in the day-night Test as they have won against New Zealand, South Africa, England and Pakistan.

As per as India’s success is concerned, they have played only one against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in 2019 and won it as well. However, before the tests, the two of the best teams will face each other in three ODIs and as many T20Is from November 27 at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Manuka Oval in Canberra as well.

“The SCG, which is set to host ODI and T20I matches and the Pink Test this summer, will hold 50 per cent of total capacity, as will Canberra’s Manuka Oval for their ODI and T20Is and the Adelaide Oval for historic Day-Night Test match starting December 17,” Cricket Australia share in an official release.

“At this stage, the Boxing Day Test is set to hold at least 25 per cent of total capacity across Public, Member and Corporate tickets, equating to 25,000 fans each day of the Test. The Gabba is set to host crowds at 75 per cent of venue capacity for the fourth and final Test of the series, starting on January 15, 2021,” CA further added in its release.

The tour will begin with the three-match ODI series at the SCG (November 27, 29) and the Manuka Oval (December 2). After that, the three-match T20I series will be played at the Manuka Oval (December 4) and the SCG (December 6, 8) as well.
