The captain of Manchester City, Vincent Kompany is going to join RSC Anderlecht as player cum manager in the next season. Kompany announced his decision about his future in a post of his official Facebook page. It was an open letter towards the supporters of Manchester City.
According to the Kompany, it was really tough for him to take the final decision when the club management of the Belgian side RSC Anderlecht gave him the proposal of being the player cum manager of the club. The captain of Belgian National side also had his emotions related with RSC Anderlecht as it was his boyhood club.
However, finally Kompany made his decision to accept the offer of RSC Anderlecht and he would sign the contract with the club for 3 years. According to him, the ending of his playing career at Manchester City could not be better than this. His side won the domestic treble this season for the first time in the history of English football. Vincent Kompany also expressed his gratitude towards his manager Pep Guardiola for reigniting his passion for the game. He also mentioned that he would try to follow the pathway of Pep Guardiola in his managerial career at RSC Anderlecht too.
