Mohamed Salah is currently leading the race for the golden boot with 21 goals to his name. He is followed by his teammate Sadio Mane in the second place with 20 goals.
Mohamed Salah currently can’t stop scoring for the reds. Despite going on a 9 game goalless streak, the Egyptian came back to scoring ways with a wonderful solo goal vs Southampton on April 6th and hasn’t looked back.
The winger since then has scored 4 times which includes a breathtaking strike vs Chelsea that left everyone in Anfield stunned. His brace against Huddersfield last night saw him complete a century of appearances for the club having joined in the summer of 2017.
Thus with having made 100 appearances for Liverpool, Salah went on to break yet another unique record. The Egyptian has now scored the highest number of goals for the club (69) in the first 100 appearances.
In his 2 seasons at the Merseyside club, Salah has scored 53 premier goals that included a record breaking 32 goals last season. He also has 15 Champions League goals to his name and a solitary FA Cup goal.
Salah currently leads the pack for this season’s golden boot and it looks imminent that he will most likely retain the award. With Newcastle and Wolves left for Liverpool in their fianl two games, one can only think of more goals to come from the Egyptian winger.
