The IPL 2021 season, the 14th edition of the cash-rich cricket league has its 9th matchday on 17th April when Mumbai Indians will lock horns against SunRisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Mumbai Indians

Despite losing their campaign opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians bounced back against Kolkata Knight Riders by a narrow 10-run win, thanks to the stupendous performance from the bowling squad, especially Rahul Chahar who secured a total of four wickets and Trent Boult, who picked two scalps in the final over of the game.

The first innings saw an impressive 43-off-32 from the captain Rohit Sharma, but the main engine for the batting squad turned out to be Suryakumar Yadav., who smashed a 36-ball-56, contributing one-third to MI’s total score.

Full Squad: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan (wk), Chris Lynn, Anmolpreet Singh, Saurabh Tiwary, Aditya Tare (wk), Kieron Pollard (vc), Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Anukul Roy, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Rahul Chahar, Jayant Yadav, Dhawal Kulkarni, Mohsin Khan, Nathan Coulter Nile, Adam Milne, Piyush Chawla, James Neesham, Yudhvir Charak, Marco Jansen, Arjun Tendulkar.

SunRisers Hyderabad

SunRisers Hyderabad have suffered a horrible start to their IPL 2021 campaign, losing both of their first two games against KKR and RCB. Despite Jason Holder and Rashid Khan’s impressive bowling spells to bind RCB at 149 runs, the batting squad fell apart towards the final few overs of the chase.

Except for the skipper David Warner’s half-century and Manish Pandey’s slow 38, the rest of SRH batsmen were marred against Bangalore’s bowling and were just six runs away from clinching a win.

Full Squad: David Warner (c), Kane Williamson, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Sreevats Goswami (wk), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Priyam Garg, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Virat Singh, Jason Roy, Jason Holder, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T. Natarajan, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddarth Kaul, Basil Thampi, Jagadeesha Suchith, Kedar Jadhav, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman.

Waging Odds: Mumbai Indians (1.70) vs SunRisers Hyderabad (2.30)

Mumbai Indians are priced at 1.70 and are the favourites. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹170 if they come out as winners.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are the underdogs and are priced at 2.30, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹ 230.

Our prediction:

SRH failed to reach the target in both of their previous fixtures due to unimpressive overall performance from the batting lineup, while MI, who have been equally appreciable in both batting and bowling duties, are likely to have the edge over their opponents.

Mumbai Indians will win the match.
