ISL: Kerala Blasters extend their winless run to 13 matches

Kerala Blasters extended their winless run to 13 matches after they lost to Delhi Dynamos 2-0 at the Ambedkar Stadium on Thursday. Gianni Zuiverloon and Rene Mihelic scored the two goals for the home side.
Delhi Dynamos controlled the tempo of the game thanks to their new signing Ulises Davila, who wreaked havoc on the Kerala Blasters defence with his passing and movements. Their efforts finally reaped fruits in the 29th minute when Gianni Zuiverloon tapped in Rene Mihelic’s outswinging corner-kick after no one bothered to mark the Dutch defender.
The Lions could have doubled the lead on numerous occasions but their profligacy in front of the goal meant the scoreline read 1-0 until the 92nd minute. Sahal Abdul Samad gave a feeble back-pass which left winger Lallianzuala Chhangte pounced on.
The 21-year-old was through on goal but Lalruatthara brought him down inside the penalty box which earned him a straight red. Rene Mihelic converted the spot-kick to hit the final nail in the coffin.
I-League: Real Kashmir FC and Churchill Brothers share spoils
Real Kashmir FC and Churchill Brothers shared spoils in their I-League encounter on Thursday at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco da Gama. Whosoever would have picked up the victory would have usurped Chennai City FC at the top of the Hero I-League table.
Real Kashmir lacked the tooth in the attack as both their central strikers were suspended due to injury. Churchill Brothers were blazing all their guns but brave defending from the Real Kashmir defenders kept them at bay. Farhan Ghanie, finally, put the Snow Leopards up with his long-range effort in the 55th minute.
The Real Kashmir defense was caught napping only once and Churchill’s hitman Willis Plaza made them pay. Nalappan Mohanraj swung in a curling cross from the right wing which the Trinidadian chested down and slammed it past the ‘keeper in the 69th minute. The final scoreline remained 1-1.

I-League: East Bengal loan out Mehtab Singh to Gokulam FC
East Bengal has loaned out Mehtab Singh to Gokulam FC for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. The Red and Golds only deploy two Indians in the midfield, which are occupied by Lalrindika Ralte and Laldanmawia Ralte. As a result, the wily Mehtab couldn’t find playing time and has been let go.
