Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, not a name everyone has heard in the in the world of track and field sports. However, she deserves all the praise and attention, after all, she has just secured her fourth gold at the Doha World Championships last Sunday, moving ahead of Usain Bolt!

Hailed by her fans and the media as as one of the greatest female sprinters of all time, Shelly-Ann clocked an record worthy time of 10.71 seconds in the women’s 100 meters final at Doha, and securing her fourth gold medal, and eight overall world title.
The 32 year old’s first gold came in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where she won the women’s 100m with a time of 10.78 seconds. Since then, the Jamaican has been dominating on the 100m event across competitions.
Her first gold at the World Championship came a year later in 2009, and also in 2013 and 2015. However, her personal record was clocked in the 2012 London Olympics, with an astounding time of 10.70 seconds. Although, 7 years later, she is just 0.01 second off of her personal best.
Mother of a two year old son, Zyon, Shelly-Ann spoke to reporters after her monumental achievement at the Qatar Capital.
“It’s a wonderful feeling having my son witnessing this.” she told in an interview with CNN.
“My secret is just staying humble and just know who you are as a person and athlete and just continue to work hard,” she added.
