The unveiling video for Crystal Palace’s newest signing James McCarthy has received so much negativity, the club had to delete it themselves from Twitter. Reason? Probably the worst reveal clip for any footballer ever.

Unfortunately the video spun across social media before they deleted it. Not Match of the Day, a parody account of Match of the Day posted the horrendous clip on their account. See for yourself-
Crystal Palace with by far the worst video transfer announcement of all time.
So bad they even deleted it. But it was too late. pic.twitter.com/s8eyk9UjCs

In the video, Palace midfielder James McArthur is seen walking out of an internet cafe. Next, presumably the player searches for ‘James McCarthy’ in a website named ‘Friends Reunited’, and the latter’s profile is seen. McArthur is then seen celebrating with a lousy ‘YEAH!’, indicating he is going to be reunited with an old friend. This is a node to the duo’s previous history at Wigan Athletic and Hamilton Athletical.
To be honest, the video quality is cringe worthy, and anyone will cuss at the awful editing and the overall context of the video. Unsurprisingly, the clip had to receive negative reactions.
A fan said: “This is brilliant, felt like I was back in 98′ on MSN messenger waiting 3 hours for limewire to download my 2 minute song”
“Surely that’s a fake? Surely nobody thought allowing that out in public was a good idea?” another one tweeted.
McCarthy joined The Eagles after a six year spell at Everton, for a fee of £8 million.
