The entire world has been paralyzed by Covid-19, which has crossed the count of 100,000 victims across the world. All major sporting events, including English Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Wimbledon, French Open, IPL 2020 and even the grandest of them all, Tokyo Olympics 2020, has been either postponed or downright cancelled. Even in this unprecedented situation, Russian team Zenit St Petersburg believed that their Brazilian player Malcom should get his Player Of The Month trophy. And the style of delivering it, was amazing!

Malcom was given the award in a drone, which entered his house in dramatic fashion, captured with multiple camera angles, with the unintended but absolutely hilarious side effect of scaring his pet cat. After they informed the winger to look outside, the drone came through his window and delivered him the award.

Malcom went amazed by the drone for a moment, exclaiming “It’s powerful!” Then he expressed his happiness: “I’d like to thank the Zenit fans. Thanks for voting for me. I am very happy! He ended the video by urging the fans to stay home at this period of pandemic. “Stay home. It’s important,” he said.
The moment sure was uplifting: a shining spot in the overall darkness by suspension of games. The Russian Premier League has also been brought to a stop due to the pandemic. The teams have only played 22 of the usual 30 rounds of games. Zenit were at the top of the table before the league stopped, with a comfortable nine points lead over the second-placed Lokomotiv Moscow, and were reaching towards their seventh, and second consecutive title.
Malcom, who was signed in a huge 40 Million $ deal from La Liga giants FC Barcelona, was an important part in the Zenit squad, as an attacker. Zenit’s attack has been nearly unstoppable this season, with them already scoring 44 goals. The Brazilian was in a positive form before the pandemic, being an important support system to prolific strikers Sardar Azmoun and Artem Dzyuba.
