The Mumbai Khiladis have just hit the jackpot. The Ultimate Kho Kho heavyweights, which is owned by Punit Balan Group (PBG), have just secured five new sponsorship deals for the ongoing Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2.

The five deals are worth, in total, more than ₹8.30 crore, signifying the growth, increasing fame, and potential money-making future of the Ultimate Kho Kho, the league that kicked off in 2022 and has rolled into its second season this year.

The five sponsors for the Khiladis are listed below:

  • 1xBat (title sponsor)
  • Mylab Discovery Solutions Pvt Ltd (powered by sponsor)
  • Generic Engineering Construction and Projects Limited (associate sponsor)
  • Pharm Deal (associate sponsor)
  • Jet Fleet Aviation (associate sponsor)

1xBat, the online gambling company, will have its logo featured on the front of the jersey, while the back will feature the logo of Mylab. Generic Engineering Construction and Pharm Deal will have their logos displayed on the sleeves, and Jet Fleet Aviation logo will be seen on the back of the neck.

“The significant sponsorship that we have secured is a testament to the meteoric rise as well as the interest that non-cricketing sports in this country are generating,” PBG’s Chairman & Managing Director Punit Balan was quoted in a statement. “Moreover, it also highlights the burgeoning and untapped potential that traditional games like Kho Kho have. Ultimate Kho Kho has been able to propel this homegrown sport to becoming a mainstream sports league and among the top three in India by engaging with a target audience cutting across the hinterland as well as urban India.”

“We are confident this is just the beginning and Mumbai Khiladis will be a flag bearer in promoting the sport and being a catalyst in its continued growth not just in India but globally,” he added. [H/T CNBC TV18]
