Soon after entering the country, the COVID-19 Coronavirus has already taken its toll on the population. Six people have already died, among a total number of 315 positive cases. To take a strict action against any further spread of the virus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a ‘Janta Curfew’, which is right now prevalent all across the country, from 7am to 9pm today. The step received applaud from the citizens, as they emptied the streets and have self isolated themselves at their homes. In the meantime, many iconic figures from the sports fraternity of the country, along with a number of celebrities have taken to to twitter to show their appreciation towards the curfew that aims to curb further contamination.

Superstar Team India cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin lauded the PM and Home Minister Amit Shah for the massive step towards curbing the contamination. The veteran spinner compared the curfew to the ‘pin drop silence’ students to practice in schools, and also stated that he the curfew to lengthen further for the betterment against the outbreak.

Former international cricketer Aakash Chopra revealed that he will continue to remain at home for the next days, and addresses it as a ‘revolution’ which he expects to go on for the next two weeks.
