James Harden extended his streak of consecutive games with 30 or more points to 22 as the Houston Rockets won 121-119 against the Toronto Raptors. Harden scored 35 points on the night. Kenneth Faried has been brilliant for them, and he had 21 points and 14 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard scored 32 points for Toronto.
Jeff Green’s last-minute heroics lifted the Wizards past the Magic 95-91. Nikola Vuvevic scored 28 points for the Magic. Justise Winslow scored 27 points as the Heat claimed a 100-94 win over the Cavaliers.
Brooklyn Nets defeated the New York Knicks 109-99, now establishing themselves as the superior team from the region. Lou Williams recorded a triple-double off the bench with 31 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds as the Clippers won 106-101 in Chicago. He became the first player to record a 30-point triple-double off the bench since 1993.
The Sacramento Kings defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 99-96 on the back of 26 points from Buddy Hield. MVP contender Giannis Antetokounmp had 34 points and 14 rebounds as the Bucks won 108-99 against the Hornets.
In Dallas, Luka Doncic’s 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists led the Mavericks past the Pistons. Blake Griffin scored 35 for Detroit, but in vain. Even though Nikola Jokic was suspended, the Nuggets blew past the Suns in a 132-95 victory. Meanwhile, the Jazz defeated the Timberwolves 106-102 in Utah.
