The novel Coronavirus pandemic has dealt a huge blow at the sport of football. Several countries have seen their major leagues and tournaments meet with cancellation or postponement, and especially in England, where all Premier League, EFL Championships and other league fixtures have been suspended until April. With over 9500 positive cases in UK and 465 deaths, the country has been under lock down, and people are into self-isolation, including players, managers and staffs. However, José Mourinho has gone one step ahead with a heartwarming gesture, as the Tottenham gaffer is seen delivering essential commodities to the elderly and vulnerable.
On Tuesday, the official Twitter handle of ESPN FC shared a clip where Mourinho is seen packing food and other necessary items for the elderly, who are vulnerable to the virus and cannot afford to go out into the streets.
The ‘Chosen One’s virtuous deed in his time off from the Spurs dugout has been widely praised by the netizens and supporters alike.
“I am here to help Age UK Enfield, Love Your DoorStep Enfield and of course you can donate food, money or be a volunteer,” the 57 year old said in the video, as he is using his leisure time to provide service to the society.

“It is a difficult time for everyone right now, particularly among the elderly, so I want to offer my assistance in any way I can,” the Spurs gaffer added.
Mourinho has teamed up with ‘Love Your DoorStep’ and ‘Age UK Enfield’, two independent charitable foundations based in Enfield, London.
Age UK this week launched an emergency fund of £10 million to help the victims of the virus outbreak in the country.
Tottenham’s fan account TranSPURS also shared two photos where the Portuguese is seen on the road, helping out the volunteers of Age UK to deliver the commodities to the elderly.
