ATK Mohun Bagan and FC Goa started off playing simple passes in the midfield. The first half saw FC Goa play well and looked the better  side on the pitch.

Their continuous attacks were dealt with by the well organised defense of ATK Mohun Bagan.

Antonio Habas’ men upfront, Roy Krishna and David Williams started to press and tried to win the ball higher up the pitch, keeping the defenders on their toes.

The tactics seemed to be working as well. The side’s ace striker, Roy Krishna looked dangerous with the ball as he won the ball high up the pitch and attempted a shot on goal.

But, his shot got deflected by Goa defender and Mohammed Nawaz was able to get his hands on it.

ATK Mohun Bagan’s defenders looked quite comfortable at the back as they restricted the Goa strikers to move up the attacking third.
