The AIFF Media team recently interviewed Gurpreet Singh Sandhu on the sidelines of a practice session of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. Here is what the Bengaluru FC custodian had to say:
“The 2011 side was filled with a number of legends, all of whom were incredibly talented, and played under an incredible coach as well. Mohun Bagan Transfer News: Mumbai City FC’s Bikramjit Singh to move back to familiar grounds?
According to Sportskeeda, Mumbai City FC’s Bikramjit Singh might move back to his former club Mohun Bagan. The 25-year-old shouldn’t be confused with the player of the same name of Delhi Dynamos.
Bikramjit is a centre-back by trade but hasn’t played a single minute of football this season for Mumbai City FC. The gaffer has entrusted Lucian Goian and Joyner Laurenco in the heart of the defense and the duo hasn’t disappointed him.
Mohun Bagan, on the other hand, needs another centre-back desperately. Lalchhawnkima and Eze Kingsley have been frowned upon for their poor form as the strikers have found it to be a cakewalk to go past them. Bikramjit can add much needed solidarity and composure to the Green and Maroons’ back-four.
Bengaluru FC News: Bengaluru FC looking for Chencho’s replacement
According to Sportskeeda, Bengaluru FC has zeroed in on Dani Aquino as Chencho’s replacement. The Bhutanese striker was injured in Bengaluru FC’s last game in the ISL and was replaced thereafter.
The Blues need an out-and-out striker desperately as Miku’s injury has dented their attacking prospects massively. Dani Aquino, currently playing for Segunda Division club Real Murcia, can play both as a winger and centre-forward.
Gokulam FC: Imran Khan moves to Gokulam FC on loan from FC Goa
According to Goal.com, FC Goa’s striker Imran Khan has made the switch to the I-League side Gokulam FC. The 24-year-old was signed by FC Goa after impressing their scouts while playing for Fateh Hyderabad SC in the I-League Second Division last season. However, the 24-year-old failed to muster a single minute of playing time under the coach Sergio Lobera.
The loan move can be a huge learning curve for the striker and if he delivers in the I-League, he can cement his place in the starting eleven next season.
