The Gunners have secured a comfortable win against Napoli in the first leg of the quarter final in the Europa League. Napoli were clear favourites to reach the next round of the competition from this tie. However, Arsenal have proved the critics wrong and they are now on the verge of qualifying for the semifinal of the Europa League.
Aaron Ramsey scored the first goal of the match for the Gunners at the 14th minute of the match. It was a brilliant build up from the Gunners at the very beginning of the match. Alexandre Lacazette passed the ball towards Ainsley Maitland Niles and Maitland Niles provided it to Aaron Ramsey. The Goalkeeper of Napoli was not able to save the powerful shot of Aaron Ramsey. Few minutes later, Lucas Torreira’s shot was deflected by Koulibaly and it well straight towards goal. The Goalkeeper had nothing to do with it as it went completely in the opposite direction.
The first half of the match ended with a scoreline of 2-0 in favour of the Gunners. The Gunners got enough opportunities to finish the tie with another goal. However, in the second half, they were not clinical enough. Napoli also created some chances in the second half; but the finishing was really poor for their side. The Gunners won the match with a margin of two goals. However, Napoli will certainly try to make a comeback in the next leg.
