After Rohit Sharma was adjudged out, the Mumbai Indians captain broke the stumps in the non strikers end that saw him breach IPL’s code of conduct.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was fined 15 percent of his match fee after he was seen breaking the stumps following his dismissal vs Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens yesterday.
The Mumbai Indians skipper was clearly frustrated with himself after being struck lbw to Harry Gurney. The consequence of his frustration saw him break the stumps at the non strikers end before heading back to the pavilion.

Rohit admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s code of conduct and accepted the sanction. “Mr. Sharma admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” an IPL release said.
Chasing a mammoth 233 to win the match, MI was never going to get there as they kept losing wickets in regular intervals. Hardik Pandya tried to do the impossible and scored 91 of just 34 balls smashing 9 sixes in the progress. But the target was just too much and MI surrendered to a 34 run loss.
