Team India won the 2nd ODI against Australia in a thrilling match by restricting them to 242 runs in a 251 run chase. Batting first it wasn’t an easy start as India lost two early wickets in Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.

However, Virat Kohli’s tremendous batting and an effortless century in the 2nd ODI helped India reach a respectable total and gave Indian bowlers a fighting chance.

However, Indian bowler’s tremendous performance sealed the match for India in Nagpur where the second ODI was being played. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Vijay Shankar bowled brilliantly in the death overs. Vijay Shankar’s took two wickets in the final over when the Aussies needed 11 runs off 6 balls.

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli praised Vijay Shankar for his disciplined bowling.

I was thinking about the 46th over (to go with Kedar/Shankar). I was talking with both of them (Rohit and Dhoni). If they (Bumrah and Shami) take wickets, we’ll be right in the game and that’s exactly what happened.

He (Shankar) just put the ball in the right areas. He showed great composure with both bat and the ball; a good game for him. Both are experienced, it’s always nice to speak to them.” Kohli said.
