Indian skipper Virat Kohli is without a doubt one of the best batsmen in the world and he is also married to Bollywood beauty Anushka Sharma. They both tied the knot back in December of 2017.
As much as tricks Virat has on the field, he also possesses a few tricks up his sleeves outside the field, so much so that he and Anushka went the tremendous length to keep their wedding a secret.
In a recent interview to fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue, Anushka Sharma said that they both used fake names and only about 42 people were invited to the wedding which took place in Borgo Finocchieto in Italy.
“We wanted to have a home-style wedding. There were only 42 people there, with all our friends and family present. I wanted it to be about Virat and me marrying each other, and not this big celebrity wedding. The energy at our wedding was blessed,” Anushka is quoted as saying by the magazine Vogue.
“We even used fake names while talking to the caterer; I think Virat’s was Rahul,” she said.
Anushka Sharma accompanies Virat Kohli on International tours and was seen most recently together when India toured Australia and New Zealand.
