In a heartwarming gesture, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated a state-of-the-art shooting range in Gwalior, naming it after the accomplished shooter, Manu Bhaker. Manu Bhaker, who clinched two bronze medals in the 2024 Paris Olympics, has become an inspiration for aspiring athletes across India.

The inauguration took place at the iconic Jiwaji Club in Gwalior. During the ceremony, Minister Scindia made a video call to Manu Bhaker, personally informing her of this honour. The shooting range caters to both 10-meter air pistol and rifle disciplines, providing a platform for future champions to hone their skills.
“A shooting range for 10-metre air pistol and rifle has been inaugurated at Jiwaji Club in Gwalior,” Scindia told Bhaker in the video call.

Manu’s coach Jaspal Rana said they will work together for the 2026 Asian Games and Commonwealth Games after she returns from the break.
