The former ace batsmen, Yuvraj Singh and Kevin Pietersen are set to make their return to the 22 yards but this time in a brand new format of cricket in Ultimate Kricket Challenge(UKC) tournament. They will be accompanied by Chris Gayle, Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell and Rashid Khan.

Ultimate Kricket Challenge to commence from December 24
The cricket fans have enjoyed the thrilling edition of recently-concluded IPL in UAE and now will witness their favourite cricketers in one-on-one matchups. This tournament is set to take place at Coca-Cola arena in Dubai.
The new concept that has been introduced will see the cricketers square off against each other in individual matchups in the gladiator-style format of cricket with unique rules to be implemented.
New bowling rules:
The 30-ball tournament will comprise of 4 innings of 15-balls each in every match. A UKC Contender is termed as Gladiator and can bowl a minimum of 8 balls per innings.
A sub player called an ‘Ace’ can bowl a maximum of 7 balls per innings. The contender scoring more runs at the end of each match will be declared as the winner, and 2 points will be awarded for each victory in the league stage.
The top 4 UKC contenders from the league rounds will qualify for the semi-finals and ultimately the final of the exciting tournament.
Each player, while bowling, can have one fielder and one wicketkeeper on the field. A Contender, while batting, will be scoring run(s) only after a physical run s completed.

Unique scoring techniques
‘Bullseye’ can be scored by hitting the ball behind the bowler to bag 12 runs and have the advantage of gaining an extra ball to play.
Bullseye on the square of wickets will yield 4 runs and every time the batsman is dismissed, 5 runs will be deducted from the total. Scoring has been divided into 6 zones:
Zone A – 1 run, Zone B- 1 run, Zone C – 2 runs, Zone D – 3 runs, Zone E – with a bounce 4 runs, Zone E- direct 6 runs.
The returning Yuvraj Singh would re-ignite the old fierce rivalry with the English veteran batsman, Kevin Pietersen and it is the much-awaited clash.
Another rivalry to keep a note on would be between the Afghanistan ace leg-spinner Rashid Khan and England’s ODI skipper Eoin Morgan.
The hard-hitting stars, Chris Gayle and Andre Russell would be featured as well and would be a treat for the fans to witness them score big runs.
