Kolkata Knight Riders and India A player Rinku Singh was suspended for three months by the BCCI on Thursday. According to the Indian cricket board, Rinku Singh participated in a T20 league in Abu Dhabi, without seeking the permission of the BCCI. This is a direct violation of the regulations laid down by the BCCI for the players. According to the rule of the BCCI, a player cannot play in any tournaments outside India without seeking the board’s permission.

Therefore, Rinku Singh who violated this rule has been suspended for three months by the Board, starting June 1, 2019. Owing to this suspension, Rinku Singh has been removed from India ‘A’ squad as well, who will next play a multi-day game against Sri Lanka ‘A’ team starting from the 31st of May.
“The BCCI will not tolerate such violations in the future and strict actions will be taken if a player is found violating the BCCI rules and regulations,” the board said in a statement.
Rinku Singh is a registered player with the BCCI, and hence the Uttar Pradesh player has been suspended for violating the regulations of the board.
