Highlights of the Gujarat Titans’ historic victory over the Delhi Capitals on Sunday night in statistics:

205* The second time a team has chased a 200+ target without losing a wicket in all T20s is when Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan formed an undefeated opening partnership of 205. The other incident occurred in Karachi in 2022 during a T20 International, when Pakistan chased down 200 with 203* from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. In 2017, when Chris Lynn and Gautam Gambhir were the opening duo, KKR defeated Gujarat Lions in Rajkot by chasing down a record-breaking 184 runs in a 10-wicket IPL victory.

2 After scoring 210 against CSK in Ahmedabad last year, Gill and Sudharshan became just the second pair of batters to record two 200+ partnerships in T20 cricket. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers of the RCB are the only other duo to accomplish this.

3 This was the third time in IPL history that an opening duo combined for more than 200 runs for the first wicket. The only other duo to accomplish this, after Gill and Sudharsan, are KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock, who led LSG to an undefeated 210 against KKR in Navi Mumbai in 2022.

In the 30 innings that they batted together, Gill and Sudharshan combined for 7 century stands. In the tournament, only two pairs have more than 100 stands: Chris Gayle and Kohli (59 innings) have nine, while De Villiers and Kohli (76 innings) have ten.

In the 2025 Indian Premier League, Gill and Sudharsan’s 839 partnership runs rank fourth overall and are the most by an Indian team. In IPL 2021, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw’s 744 was eclipsed by the duo.

Gujarat Titans, who chased down 204 in the rematch in Ahmedabad, have twice chased down targets of 200 or more against Delhi Capitals in the 2025 Indian Premier League. They successfully defended each of the 13 times they set a target above 200 before to this season. Additionally, it is the first time a team has chased 200+ runs twice against the same opponent throughout an IPL season.

Both sides took three wickets in this match, with the Capitals taking three and the Titans taking none. It is the fewest wickets ever taken in an IPL match; the previous record was four, which occurred seven times.

5 Hundreds from KL Rahul in IPL – the fourth most by a batter, behind Virat Kohli (8), Jos Buttler (7), and Chris Gayle (6). Rahul became the first batter to score hundreds for three different IPL teams, having scored two each for Punjab Kings and LSG previously.
