Jurgen Klopp was always big on getting Christian Pulisic to Merseyside since his first transfer season for Liverpool back in 2016 summer to 2019 winter. The German coach bid 11M Euros for the American winger back in 2016 and the bid was rejected but Klopp kept pursuing him until one Liverpool player has been doing exactly what Pulisic would have been expected to do had he signed for The Reds at some point.

“I like Christian, I’ve known him since he was a kid”, said Klopp after a pre season friendly this year, via Sky News.
“He’s still not really old, he’s a fantastic player, and it’s deserved people think highly of him in America.
“In Germany, it’s the same. If he wants to play in England or whatever one day then for sure he has the chance to do so but he’s at a really good club for his development at this moment.
“If – at one point – he will join us, I don’t know.”
However a lot has changed since then. Pulisic is a Chelsea player and Liverpool wont yearn for him much.
Liverpool have no such concerns with their forward line, and as stated by the Liverpool Echo, the quality of those in Klopp’s attack means that Pulisic simply isn’t needed at the moment.
Also , because of the impact of Xherdan Shaqiri since his bargain £12.5m arrival from Stoke City in the summer, Klopp didn’t follow up his interest in the American.
Shaqiri has scored six goals in 15 Liverpool Premier League appearances thus far, including a vital brace in a 3-1 win over Manchester United.
