Entire India is gripped in the IPL fever which started on 23rd March 2019. Each IPL game has delivered big time.

However, India neighbouring country Pakistan has banned the broadcast of Indian Premier League games in the country. According to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, the decision was taken because of the “attitude that India maintained against Pakistani citizens, actors, artists and cricketers”.
“India made an organised effort to harm cricket in Pakistan and it doesn’t make sense for us to allow an Indian domestic tournament to be promoted here,” he said.
Indian sports Network Dsport stopped the broadcast of PSL matches in India after a terrorist attack in Pulwama region of Kashmir led to the martyrdom of 40 Indian CRPF jawans.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the decision to ban IPL matches by a committee chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Although he was keen to point out that he doesn’t believe in politicising sports and culture.
“But we saw the attitude that India maintained against Pakistani citizens, actors, artists and cricketers. We saw that limit was crossed when the Indian cricketers played their match against Australia wearing army caps,” he said, according to the Times of India.
Despite Pakistan pulling the plug on broadcasting IPL, it will barely affect BCCI or the cash-rich Indian league as IPL already has a valuation of $5 Billion and they have a 5-year contract with Star Sports worth $2.5 Billion.
