Gary Neville has given his two cents about the future of his former club Manchester United, as he believes the Red Devils will return to their former glory days sooner than Liverpool does.

Taking a look at last season stats, Klopp’s side performed much better, finishing second in the EPL table with just one loss, and also went on to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy. Whereas, United fell back at a 6th place finish at the table, missing out on Champions League entry.

During an episode of Sky Bet’s The Big Debate, the former England international spoke on being hopeful on his Old Trafford teammate and close friend Solskjær and his boys.

“I don’t sit here every day as a United fan and think my world’s ending. I just see it as a cycle. “I grew up for the first 18 years of my life and I didn’t see a league title at Manchester United. And the next 20 or 25 years was glorious. It was like heaven.”

“But now it’s tough. It genuinely does not concern me because it can be corrected by a little bit of money on the stadium and good decisions in the boardroom and good decisions in the recruitment department.” he added.

United’s last Premier League trophy came back in 2013, under Ferguson’s last tenure. But, Neville believes his former club will taste silverware very soon.

“Eventually they will stumble upon the right recruitment system, the right recruitment people, they’ll get a great manager – hopefully that’s Ole – and they’ll start to win again. That’s going to happen.”- the 44 year old is hopeful on his Old Trafford ex-teammate and close friend Solskjær and his boys.

“I can guarantee you as clear as day, Manchester United will win again. They’ll probably win the league before Liverpool, in my opinion. And that’s not being disrespectful, they’ll probably win the league before Liverpool.” he added.
