Nikola Jokic is having a pretty good year. The ‘Joker’ had 32 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists as the Denver Nuggets recorded a 126-110 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. The injury-riddled Pelicans lost in New Orleans to the San Antonio Spurs 126-114. Anthony Davis was the major absentee for the Pelicans on the day. LaMarcus Aldridge starred for the Spurs, and he had 28 points and 12 rebounds. Jrue Holiday had 29 points for New Orleans, but it wasn’t enough.
Two marquee teams faced off at the TD Garden as the Boston Celtics hosted the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors edged past 115-111 for the win, aided by 33 points from Kevin Durant. Kyrie Irving recorded 32 points and 10 assists for Boston.
Mike Conley Jr.’s 22 points and 11 assists led the Grizzlies to a 106-103 win over the Pacers. Indiana was without Victor Oladipo, and Memphis took advantage, breaking their eight-game losing streak. Meanwhile, C. J. McCollum’s triple-double propelled the Blazers past the Hawks 120-111, for whom Trae Young scored 30 points.
