Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Mauricio Pochettino has been toying with the idea of possibly replacing Santiago Solari at Real Madrid even though former Madrid managers Zinedine Zidane and Jose Mourinho were previously linked with the move.
In an interview given to Spanish state broadcaster TVE, the former Espanyol coach said that his relationship with Spain will always remain and the prospect of going back there and play “winning football” is what he would like to do the most.

When asked about Santiago Solari with whom he played for Argentina national team, he said: “I know him because we played together. He is a colleague and it’s always frustrating and disappointing when teams like PSG or Real Madrid get knocked out of the big competitions.”
He further added that he sees the possibility of him moving to Bernabeu as something positive and which also means people have noticed that Pochettino is doing his job well at Tottenham.
Since joining Spurs, Pochettino has helped the club attain top-three finishes three times in his four seasons at the club. It will be interesting to see whether the Argentine manager will truly make a move towards Bernabeu.
