India’s top badminton star Srikanth is not having a good time on the court. The Indian shuttler has faced back to back defeats in multiple championships and now he’s out of the Spain Masters in the 1st round itself.
Srikanth Hasn’t Made it to the Finals Since 2021
As reported by the media, It has been 40 tournaments that Srikanth has not reached Final on BWF World Tour circuit. The last time he reached Final was way back in Dec 2021 (World Championships). And his bad streak continues with Spain Masters.
His best performace came in Switzerland where he reached the Semi Finals and lost a hard fought match against WR 22 Lin Chun-yi by 21-15, 9-21, 18-21
He lost to Ranked 61 shuttler in a straight match
The Indian Shuttler lost to Koo Takahashi of Japan with a score of 18-21, 15-21. This marks his 4th 1st round exit in the last 8 tournaments.

PV Sindhu Makes It to the Next Round
India’s Olympics medalist Sindhu defeated World No. 49 Wen Yu Zhang of Canada 21-16, 21-12 in opening round to make it into the Pre-QF of Spain Masters (Super 300).
