The rumours say otherwise, but Gareth Bale has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer. He has let the club know this through his agent, and the Welshman intends to see out his contract which runs till June 2022.

Bale has endured a complicated season at the Bernabeu, and his relationship with the fans has turned sour. Numerous reports have emerged linking him to other clubs. He is not too popular with his teammates either, as his inability to speak Spanish has made him a distant figure to some extent.
Coach Zinedine Zidane has been ambiguous on Bale’s future, but his agent has been firm. Jonathan Barnett, Bale’s representative met Real Madrid general director Jose Angel Sanchez in April. Barnett has also said that Bale “will be at Real Madrid as long as they want him.”
Bale has started just three league games since Zidane took over. His fitness and chemistry issues don’t seem to be ending anytime soon. He played for less than half an hour combined in recent games against Leganes and Athletic Bilbao.
The summer promises to be an interesting one for both Real and Bale, as Zidane is likely to eye big signings to improve the squad. Sadly for Bale, that would mean an exit for him.
