The Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) has taken a significant step by officially sending rider Anush Agarwalla’s entry to the Paris Olympics. This decision came after the court upheld the EFI’s selection criteria, which had been challenged by another contender, Shruti Vora. Anush Agarwalla’s participation in the prestigious event is now confirmed.

However, the EFI’s preparations extend beyond the Olympics. The federation is gearing up for its first Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for July 21. Despite some reservations expressed by re-instated Executive Council members, the AGM is essential.
It aligns with the Sports Code and ensures that the budget for the upcoming year receives approval. The EFI spent nearly Rs 4 crore in the 2023-24 season, and the proposed budget for 2024-25 stands at Rs 5 crore 77 lakh.
