In a heartwarming initiative that blends cricket passion with philanthropy, iconic cricket stars such as MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul have generously donated historic cricket memorabilia for a charity auction.

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty organizing the Cricket Auction

KL Rahul and his partner, Athiya Shetty, are organizing this unique event called “Cricket for a Cause: To Benefit the Vipla Foundation.” The foundation is committed to empowering underprivileged communities across India.

The auction will feature rare and iconic cricket items, making it a must-attend event for cricket enthusiasts and philanthropists alike. Bats used by legends like MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Rahul Dravid will be up for grabs, along with gloves worn by Virat Kohli.

The auction will take place online on Pundole on August 23, 2024, at 6:30 PM IST. This presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for cricket fans to own exclusive pieces of cricketing history while supporting a noble cause.

For over 36 years, the Vipla Foundation has been empowering women and children. Their special school caters to the hearing impaired and intellectually disabled, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The auction aims to support quality education for special children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Mana Shetty, a trustee of the Vipla Foundation, emphasizes that this auction isn’t just about owning cricket memorabilia—it’s about changing lives. Each item tells a story of passion, hard work, and triumph, and by participating, supporters contribute to a cause that matters.
