In a world where keyboards and firewalls dominate his daily routine, Ashish Mehta stands out as a man of dual strength. A Cyber Security Architect by profession and a national-level armwrestler by passion, Ashish is set to showcase his raw power and refined technique in Season 2 of the Pro Panja League, airing on Sony Sports Network and FanCode from August 5.

Representing the Mumbai Muscle franchise, Ashish brings a unique combination of mental sharpness and physical grit. While he spends his workdays protecting digital infrastructures from cyber threats, his evenings are dedicated to mastering wrist control, grip strength, and explosive power traits essential to dominate in armwrestling.

Ashish began his armwrestling journey during his college days. What started as a casual interest soon turned into a serious pursuit. With every local tournament win, his hunger to improve and compete at the national level grew. His methodical mindset, honed through years of cyber defense work, plays a key role in how he approaches armwrestling, by breaking down techniques, analyzing opponents, and making quick tactical decisions on the table.

As a part of Mumbai Muscle, Ashish adds balance to the team’s high-octane energy with his composed demeanor and clinical execution. The team, known for its aggressive approach, benefits from Ashish’s ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver results when it matters most.

Q: Ashish, you’re a Cyber Security Architect and a national-level armwrestler. How do you manage both worlds?

It’s all about discipline and time management. My work in cybersecurity demands sharp focus, and so does armwrestling. I think the structured thinking I apply in one field helps me in the other. After work, it’s straight to training; no compromises.

Q: What drew you to armwrestling in the first place?

I was always fascinated by strength sports, but armwrestling hooked me because it’s not just brute force. It’s a mental gametiming, technique, hand control. Once I got my first win at a local event, I was addicted.

Q: How are you preparing for Season 2 of Pro Panja League?

My preparation has been intense. Strength training, table time, rehab, nutrition everything is dialed in. Plus, the Mumbai Muscle coaching staff has been phenomenal. We’ve studied opponents, worked on match-specific drills, and mentally prepared for high-pressure situations.

Q: You’re representing a city like Mumbai. Does that come with extra pressure?

Definitely, but it’s the good kind of pressure. Mumbai is a city that never backs down, fast-paced, ambitious, full of fighters. I try to carry that spirit into every match. I want to make my city and my team proud.

Q: Any message for young athletes who juggle careers and sports?

Don’t let your job define your limits. If you love something, you’ll find a way. Whether it’s early mornings or late nights, if you plan your day with purpose, you can build a life where both passion and profession thrive.

As the countdown to Season 2 of Pro Panja League begins, Ashish Mehta stands ready. With strength in his arms and strategy in his mind, he represents the modern-day athlete versatile, driven, and hungry for glory.

Watch him and the Mumbai Muscle charge ahead from August 5, only on Sony Sports Network and FanCode.
