Ander Herrera thinks that he knows the reason for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sensational start as Manchester United manager. The Spaniard thinks that the reason for Solskjaer’s success has been the fact that he has clicked with the club’s best players.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Jesse Lingard have enjoyed life under Solskjaer. Herrera thinks that Solskjaer’s relationship with them has been a major factor.
“Ole had that click with some players that they are performing at their best,” Herrera told ESPN FC yesterday. “He is getting the best from Rashford, he is getting the best from Paul, he is getting the best from Anthony, from Jesse. That’s not easy.
“When you are a manager, we sometimes speak too much about tactics. But the most difficult thing for a manager is to get the best from his best players and this manager is doing it. We have all seen it.”
Herrera has also enjoyed the new start personally. He has been instated as a regular starter alongside Pogba and Nemanja Matic in midfield. “I have been told a lot of times ‘you should wear the armband in the future’ but I don’t need it,” he said. “I don’t go crazy with that, I think the best thing a team can have is different leaders. We need it from all the players.
United dropped their first points under Solskjaer against Burnley on Tuesday. They will hope to get back to winning ways against Leicester City on Sunday.
