Before the advent of Pep Guardiola in England, playing out from the back was an almost taboo kind of thing in English football. As Pep’s brand of football is gaining traction and is being backed up by multiple silverwares, two continuous Premier League trophies and a domestic treble, it is obvious that more and more teams would employ the system to obtain success.

Watch here a Rochdale team in League One dish out over 20 passes , starting out from the goalkeeper and securing themselves a brilliant goal.

Although it is not just Guardiola who put the emphasis on passing and moving in football but the likes of Arsene Wenger and Jurgen Klopp are also to be credited with such dynamic systems.
English football is in its peak levels as we speak. Both sets of European finalists were English teams last year , in the Champions League and Europa League.
