Marcelo Bielsa is staying put at Leeds United and is determined to bring the Yorkshire club back to the Premier League.

Leeds United’s current manager Marcelo Bielsa is looking to commit his future with the club for at least another year as his bid to gain promotion continues. Leeds narrowly missed out on a Premier League ticket after they blew a golden opportunity by losing too many matches in their final few games.
Bielsa, who faced a lot of criticism for spying on Derby County’s team mid way into the season took the responsibility for failing to lead his side towards the promotion they were carving for.
Question marks were raised on Bielsa’s future following the side’s agonising loss to Derby County in the play-off semi finals. But Leeds chiefs have been determined to retain his services since the end of their campaign.
Despite throwing away the promotion that was firmly within their sights, Bielsa’s arrival to the Yorkshire club has seen the side improve drastically. They will once again begin as favorites when the next season begins in August.
The 63 year old is currently holding talks with the club for a contract extension that will see him continue with the club for at least one more year. Roma have shown interest their interest in replacing Ranieri with Bielsa but the Argentinian is interested in imposing his style of play in England.
It is to be noted that a number of players which include James Milner and Fabian Delph were interested in returning to their boyhood club, Leeds, in case they were to be promoted. But these players will have to wait for another year now.
