Australian all-rounder and currently playing for Brisbane Heat in BBL, Ben Cutting was involved a horrible lapse of judgement which resulted in his face being bloodied. He got a nasty cut after a failed catch attempt hit him in the face during a match against the Melbourne Renegades.
Renegades opener Marcus Harris hit a delivery really high up while chasing a target of 145, and the fielder Cutting was under position to catch the ball, but it slipped through Cutting’s hands and hit him in the face.

“He dropped it, it hit his head, it bounced on his chest, and then he picked it up to say ‘I’ve still got it’, Seven commentator Phil Tufnell said.
“But for me, no (it’s not out).”
Marcus Harris was given not out from the Umpire.
“He looked pretty rattled, so hopefully he is ok,” Harris said of Cutting.
“He had a bit of claret coming out of him the poor fella.”
Cutting returned to the action later in the match and Mark Waugh marvelled at the repair work on his face.
“You can’t even see where he got hit,” Waugh said.
“They have done a great job stitching him up.”
