Zoravar Singh Sandhu fumbles in the final qualification round at ISSF World Cup

Zoravar Singh Sandhu fails to make it to the final six in the Men’s Trap at the ISSF World Cup, Rabat. Zoravar finished fourth among 98 participants, with 73/75 points, after the first three rounds, which included two perfect 25s yesterday. He was in a strong position and was expected to make it to the finals.

Zoaravar Singh Sandhu, who clinched an Asian Gold last year, continued his best on Wednesday in the fourth round as he produced a 24-point round, which put him in the 1st position at the end of round 4. Unfortunately, the Indian shooter failed in the final round, where he managed to score only 21 points. This unexpected and shocking result plunged Zoravar to 23rd position.

Other results in men’s Trap event includes a 17th position for Bhowneesh Mendiratta, wh also finsihed with 118 points. But because a better rank, he finished at 17th position ahead of Zoravar. Prithviraj Tondaiman secured 69th spot with 111 points, while Manvadithya Singh Rathore garbed 83rd with 104 points.

In Women’s Trap event, Rajeshwari Kumari secured 8th spot with 113 points amongst 51 participants. Bhavya Tripathi finsihed at 19th with 109 points, while Manisha Keer and Preeti Rajak took 24th and 34th spots with 106 and 101 points respectively.
