Real Madrid boss Zidane is on a quest to get his not so favourite winger Gareth Bale out of his team before the upcoming season. Sure, the Frenchman can shake up his squad to his own preference, but was he more successful than the Welshman as a Galactico? Lets compare the stats.

In all six seasons with Los Blancos, the 30-year old Forward has scored 102 goals in 231 appearances, remarkably more than the 49 nettings the 47-year old midfielder made accross 227 matches during his six year tenure with the club, till his retirement in 2006.
The two players are very similar in stats regarding assists- Zidane’s 66 to Bale’s 65.
However, Bale has won drastically more silverware than the 1998 World Cup winner, a total of 14, compared to Zizou’s paltry 6 with the club.

It is to be considered that a forward is being contrasted to a midfielder here, and the French midfielder is undoubtedly one of the greatest to ever grace the game- but seeing how Bale can counter up with Zidane’s stats as a player, raises questions at the current treatment the winger is facing from his gaffer.
After being sidelined from yesterday’s match against Bayern, Bale’s way out from Santiago Bernabeu was confirmed by Zidane in the post match interview.
“We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team. I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done.”
Despite a career filled with ups and downs with Real Madrid- Bale proved himself to be one unfathomable force for the Spanish giants. To be honest, the loathsome behaviour he is facing from his boss is unjust.
