Former India cricketer and ambassador of the T20 World Cup 2024, Yuvraj Singh, took a cheeky jab at England following their defeat in the semifinal match. Yuvraj Singh adds humour to India’s celebrations

India’s memorable win in the semifinal was a result of a dominant performance. After setting a target of 171 runs, India’s batting unit led by captain Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav put up a commanding show. The Indian spinners, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, then bundled England out for just 103 runs, securing a convincing 68-run victory. Yuvraj Singh’s playful tweet added a touch of humour to the celebration as India stormed into their third T20 World Cup final, where they will face South Africa in Barbados.

Rohit found the semi-final win to be really pleasing and mentioned that the Indian team really put in a lot of hard work.

“Very satisfying to win this game. We worked really hard as a unit. To win this game like that was a great effort from everybody. We adapted to the conditions really well. The conditions were a little challenging, we had to adapt and that’s been the success story for us so far till this game,” Rohit said in the post-match press conference.

“We have adapted to the conditions really well, played the conditions really well. The bowlers and the batters, if they play according to the conditions, things fall in place and that’s exactly what happened for us today. Very pleasing to see how we came through this game.”
