WWE Royal Rumble 2019 Results

The road to WrestleMania 35 kicked off in grand fashion last night with the Royal Rumble PPV in front of a packed Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ.

The event witnessed a total of two title changes, both on the SmackDown side of things while both the respective Royal Rumble matches saw the return of some unlikely fan favourites with Hornswoggle making a cameo appearance in the Women’s encounter.

Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett entered the Men’s Royal Rumble match at number two however, his stay was unfortunately short-lived as he was eliminated immediately by Elias.

So without further ado, let’s dive in and take a look at all the results from the Royal Rumble:

Kickoff Show:

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Rusev for the United States Championship

Bobby Roode & Chad Gable defeated Rezar and Scott Dawson (w/ Drake Maverick)

Buddy Murphy retained his Cruiserweight Championship in a fatal four-way match against Kalisto, Akira Tozawa and Hideo Itami

Main Card:

Asuka retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch via submission

The Miz & Shane McMahon defeated The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Ronda Rousey retained the RAW Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks via submission

Becky Lynch eliminated Charlotte Flair and won the 30 Women Royal Rumble Match

Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles to retain the WWE Championship

Brock Lesnar defeated Finn Balor via submission to retain the Universal Championship

Seth Rollins eliminated Braun Strowman to win the 30 Man Royal Rumble Match
