Despite being two of the key figures at the Bernabeu over the last decade, club captain Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo’s relationship has hit a new low after the defender did not invite the Juventus star to his wedding.
Cristiano Ronaldo took the football world by storm after deciding to join Juventus just after winning his fourth Champions League with Real Madrid. The move, which took Ramos aback as well, did not reportedly go down well with him.
The defender was unhappy with the manner Ronaldo left the club and the bitterness is evident as Ronaldo did not make it in the guest list for Ramos’ wedding as per Marca. The Real Madrid skipper is set to marry TV presenter Pilar Rubio at the Seville Cathedral on June 15.
The guest list includes some prominent names such as David Beckham, Gerard Pique, and Iker Casillas, should he recover from his heart attack.
Real Madrid and Ronaldo have had contrasting seasons with the Los Blancos unable to secure a single trophy at the expense of the sacking of two managers while despite missing out on the Champions League, the winger had a prominent season in Italy after a bleak start.
