World Strength Lifting Federation Chairman Mr Jeenbek Mukhambetov received a grand welcome in New Delhi by Delhi Strength Lifting Association General Secretary Mr Laxman Singh Bhandari ahead of the International Strength Lifting Championship which is all set to take place from March 10 in Nepal.

Jeenbek Mukhambetov is also the president of Asian Arm Wrestling Federation and one of the pivotal faces of strength sports in Asia. He has been heavily promoting the event across Asia and world. Mr Jeenbek was accompanied by Kyrgyz contingent which consisted of Mr Maichiev Shamaral, Mr Davleton Aryslan, Mr Makashov Rysbek, Mr Amanov Kubanychbek, Mr Murokov Adilet and Mr Mambetaliev Sultanbek.

The Strength Lifting Championshipship will consist of inclined bench press, two hand curling, hack lift and strength lifting. In a conversation with Sports India Show, Mr Laxman Singh Bhandari revealed that the sport of Strength Lifting has its origin in India and has been promoted around the world.

The Indian contingent is also a strong one as over 100 athletes will be taking part in the International Strength Lifting Championship.

This isn’t the first time that Jeenbek Mukhambetov has come to India. He travelled to India last year for the Pro Panja League ranking tournament which took place in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
