Chaos ensued at the stands during India’s outing against Afghanistan in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. India won by eight wickets on Wednesday, October 11 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Captain Rohit Sharma starred with the bat with his record-breaking hundred as he helped India chase down the target of 273 in 35 overs.
A brawl broke out as some fans were spotted fighting in the stands. In a viral video, a bunch of Indian fans are seen throwing punches at each other following an argument.

India cruised to victory courtesy of Rohit Sharma, who played a captain’s knock in the match. He also shattered multiple records during the match. Sharma tallied his 7th hundred in ODI World Cup to surpass the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar in the list for most centuries in the history of the tournament. This was also the fastest hundred in any World Cup by an Indian batter. In the second ball of the 18th over, Rohit played Mohammad Nabi for a single to reach the 100-run mark.
Chasing 273 to secure a second successive victory of the tournament. He was supported up by Ishan Kishan (47). After Kishan’s dismissal, Virat Kohli arrived to the crease and finished with an unbeaten 55 marking his second half-century of the tournament as India won with 15 overs to spare.
