Among the talented Indian athletes, several remarkable women stand out, ready to compete, inspire, and bring home glory. Let’s meet these trailblazers who will lead the charge in Paris:

Priyanka Goswami – Race Walking

Priyanka Goswami is a force to be reckoned with in race walking. She secured her spot for Paris 2024 by meeting the rigorous qualifying standards. Priyanka aims to stride confidently in the 20km race walk event. She’s coaching under Aussie walking coach Brent Vallance and is set to make a mark in the coming Olympics.

Nikhat Zareen – Boxing

Nikhat Zareen, a fierce boxer, has her eyes set on the Paris Olympics. She will compete in the women’s 51kg category and will aim to bag the Gold. Nikhat’s lightning-fast punches and unwavering spirit were at display in the 2023 IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship where she dominated and won the Gold medal.

Lovlina Borgohain – Boxing

Lovlina Borgohain, another boxing sensation came into the limelight after she won the bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics. She will represent India in the women’s 75kg category and will aim to change the color of that medal.

In 2023, at just 19 years old Preeti Pawar won a bronze at the Asian Games. And she is a rising star in women’s boxing who secured her place in the 54kg category.

Parveen Hooda – Boxing

Parveen Hooda is another young boxer who grapple her way to Paris in the women’s 57kg category. Previously, she took a medal at the World Championship.

Manu Bhaker –  Shooting

At 22 years of age this will be Manu’s second Olympics. In 2023, she won a Gold at the world championship and will aim to repeat the result in Paris.

Parul Chaudhary – Steeplechase Race

Parul, a seasoned steeplechase mid distance runner secured her place in the Paris Olympics with a stellar performance in the Asian Games 2023. Hailing from a farming family of rural Uttar Pradesh, she ran a lot of obstacles on the way.

Mirabai needs no introduction. She is former medal winner at the Olympics and India’s top lifter. However, She still hasn’t qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her past year was plagued with injuries but she’s hoping to make a strong return by qualifying for the Paris Olympics. She is targeting to gain Olympic Qualification Ranking (OQR) points at the Asian Weightlifting Championships and the IWF World Cup in April.
