Wishes pour in as Virender Sehwag turns 41

The ‘Sultan of Multan’, Virender Sehwag turned 41 yesterday and the whole cricket fraternity wished the former Indian cricketer. The explosive right handed opener played 251 ODIs and 104 Tests for India amassing 8,273 and 8,586 runs respectively. His wits along with quick responses created quite a fanbase and cricketers all over the globe took to Twitter sent their love.

Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar tweeted, “Cracking the ball on the field and cracking jokes off it has always been your mantra! Janamdin Mubarak Viru,”

“Happy birthday to the most dangerous batsman I have ever bobowled to @virendersehwag jeo Lala..modern day’s VIV Richards” Harbhajan Singh tweeted.

Another former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman shared a picture with Sehwag and wrote, “Special birthday wishes to a special friend [?] @virendersehwag May your birthday be sprinkled with fun and year ahead Bratha.”

Meanwhile, West Indies legend Chris Gayle also wished him too through Twitter, writing, “Happy birthday legend, @virendersehwag wish you many more.”
