After being dismissed for 297 in their first innings, the Men In Blue were on the mark with the ball to increase the hopes of getting a substantial first-innings lead courtesy of Ishant Sharma.

Resuming the day at 203-6, Rishabh Pant walked back early after edging one behind the stumps. In a surprising move, Ishant Sharma was sent in ahead of Mohammad Shami at No.9. The lanky pacer justified the move by his involvement in a crucial 60-run stand along with Ravindra Jadeja.

The left-arm all-rounder once again emerged as a saviour with a fifty and stuck around the tail to stretch the total to 297. The hosts started their innings on a positive note but lost track soon after once the wickets started falling

Ishant Sharma drew first blood by completing a tricky return catch off Kraigg Brathwaite while also sweeping out the middle order to help himself to a five-wicket haul.

Roston Chase provided some resistance with a knock of 48 while Shai Hope stuck around for a gritty 24.

West Indies are currently 108 runs behind with captain Jason Holder and tail-ender Kemar Roach in the middle.
