West Indies opener Shai Hope is hopeful of continuing his form against India in the ongoing One-day series. Shai Hope has been in the form of his life when it comes to the Indian pitch. Hope’s performance against India in India has been over the moon and can knock your socks off.

He was the only Windies batsman in the tour in 2018 who got the runs for West Indies. Hope is one of those players who has scored the runs at a slow rate but has been the key block in that Windies batting line up.

Hope has called IPL secondary and has said that he wants to concentrate on One Day and Test format and wants his team to reach better heights and reach the top half of cricket rankings in the one day format and T20 format.

“I am sure some of the guys will be looking forward to the auction but we have an India series to play and that’s the main thing right now,” Hope said.

Hope is currently the third highest run getter in One Day Internationals after the Indian Captain and Vice Captain, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who have scored 1292 and 1268 runs respectively.

“Thanks for heads up (on numbers). Obviously I have to ask the bowlers to do some damage as well,” he smilingly replied “As a batsman, you want to contribute as much as possible and if it helps the team win even more satisfying. Hopefully, we can remove them at the top and then get some big runs and get to the top of that run getters list,” When he was asked about surpassing the Indian heavy weights.

The next One-day International would be played in Vishakapatnam the very ground were India and West Indies played a tie game where Shai Hope got a hundred and helped the team tie the game from the jaws of defeat.
