Dinesh Karthik has been thoroughly enjoying his stint in the commentary box. Earlier he had mentioned how he wishes to eliminate the current stereotype set in place that suggests commentary is only an option for retired cricketers.

A few days back, he was praised by former prominent commentator and present India coach Ravi Shastri for his exploits with the microphone so far.

Karthik took up a role with Sky Sports Cricket and has been with the mic since the England vs Sri Lanka series, a few months back. He will be soon in action with Kolkata Knight Riders when the second phase of the 2021 IPL begins next month. He is also hoping to be in contention for the T20 World Cup squad as well.

India will begin the day 58 runs behind England’s first innings total of 183. The team had lost four wickets in quick succession after a dream start and would be hoping to get a substantial lead and put England under pressure.
