Indian cricketing icon Sourav Ganguly was well known for maintaining a serious attitude on the pitch. Except the historic shirt spinning incident at Lord’s Cricket Ground back in 2002, ‘Dada’ was always known for his calm and composed manner, even after ending his player career, while still being omnipresent in the Indian cricket scene. The BCCI president also hosts a television quiz show called ‘Dadagiri Unlimited’. In the latest episode, the dancer avatar of Sourav was taken out with the help of the guest and former teammate Harbhajan Singh!

In yesterday’s episode of Dadagiri, Team India’s present and former squad members- Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Mohammad Kaif, Zaheer Khan, Ravichandran Ashwin and of course Bhajji himself were invited as participants.

As famous Indian playback singer Usha Uthup started singing her renowned ‘Senorita’ track from the Bollywood film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Harbhajan brought his former skipper in front and started doing his moves. While a little hesitant at first, Sourav started dancing with the iconic spinner. It was a hilarious yet amazing moment for the viewers.

While not announcing an official retirement from international cricket, Harbhajan Singh has fallen down in the preference of Team India’s selectors in the presence of younger spinner options. The 39 year old, who made his test debut against the Aussies in 1998, flourished under the leadership Sourav Ganguly into one of the best cricketers the country has ever produced.

Even the Prince of Calcutta himself shed praise on the Chennai Super Kings star. In a recent interview, Sourav recalled as he was impressed by a young Harbhajan back in his playing days.

“They say it’s love at first sight. And when I saw Harbhajan bowl at Eden, picking up 14 wickets it was love at first sight for a cricketer who I believed would go on to change things for Indian cricket,” Sourav spoke to India Today back in December.

“And 800 wickets after that, I am not surprised. He and Anil were the two best spinners India has ever had together in terms of the no of wickets and the impact that they have had on Test matches.” he added.
