Fans of Rishabh Pant will be delighted on Friday as the Indian wicketkeeper is finally off crutches and is able to walk on his own. He survived the mishap while he was returning from Delhi to Uttarakhand. It was reported that Pant was driving his BMW car that caught fire after hitting the divider at the Narsan border. Pant claimed he lost control of the car after falling asleep while driving. He underwent surgery following the brutal accident on December 30, 2022. He has since been recovering and has provided a positive update on his recovery.
Pant has been regularly posting updates on his social media profiles, showing his recovery from the injuries. There was a video showing Pant walking in the pool a few weeks ago, much to the happiness of his fans.
Rishabh Pant is off crutches
It has been noted that Pant is off crutches and is able to walk on his own. In a latest video uploaded on his Instagram account, the wicketkeeper was shown walking without support.
In the post, Pant could be seen throwing his crutches and walking without support. Even during his appearances in the 2023 Indian Premier League during a select number of Delhi Capitals’ matches, Pant was walking with support of crutches but this is the first time when the 25-year-old star was seen walking on his own.

Previously, Sourav Ganguly, Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals, had suggested that it might take Pant a year or two to return to the playing field and play for India again.
“I spoke to him a couple of times. Obviously he is going through a tough period, through injuries and surgeries and I wish him well. In a year’s time or may be in a couple of years’ time, he will be back playing for India,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI.
